Guidelines for Authors
All Manuscripts submitted to the “Frontiers of Innovations in Health Research” should contain the following sections.
Title Page: The complete title of the manuscript, all author names with their highest qualifications, the department or institution they are affiliated with, correspondence address—including telephone numbers, cell phones, and e-mail—and a short running title of the article, along with the source of funding, should be clearly stated.
b. Conflicts of Interest: When submitting a manuscript, authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could bias their work. Authors of studies funded by an agency with a proprietary or financial stake in the outcome must sign a statement confirming they had full access to all data and take responsibility for its integrity and accuracy.
c. Abstract: All original articles must include a structured abstract of up to 250 words, covering the study’s Objective, Methodology, Results, and Conclusions. The abstract should accurately reflect the content of the article and include key words, not exceeding five, derived from the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) list of Index Medicus; if suitable MeSH terms are unavailable for new terms, the present terms may be used.
d. Key Words: List no more than five key words below the abstract, utilizing MeSH terms where applicable.
e. Case Report/Review Article: All review articles and case reports should include a summary. Authors should describe the methods used for locating, selecting, extracting, and synthesizing data, along with searched databases and the relevant time period. These methods should also be summarized in the abstract.
f. Introduction: This section should briefly outline the purpose and rationale for the study.
g. Methodology: Include detailed information about the exact methods, observations, or experiments. If using established methods, cite references; if new, provide enough detail for others to replicate. For drug use, include the generic name, dose, and route. Mention the statistical methods and software employed. Clearly state the information system used. The Ethics Committee or Institutional Review Board (EC/IRB) approval number, with date, must be included.
h. Results: Present results using text, tables, and illustrations. Avoid repetition of table content in the text; instead, reference the table number.
i. Discussion: Highlight the main findings, compare them with existing work, and emphasize new and important aspects. Clearly state whether the hypotheses are confirmed, refuted, or inconclusive.
j. References: Use superscript formatting. Limit to 30 references for original articles, 15 for case reports, and 50 for reviews. Follow Vancouver style according to “Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals,” Updated May 2023, available at http://icmje.org/recommendations/. List all authors if six or fewer; for seven or more, list the first six followed by ‘et al.’
k. Book References: Include authors’ names and initials, full article or book title, editor names, publisher’s city, publisher, first and last page numbers, and publication year.
Letter of Undertaking: Manuscripts must include a signed letter from all authors. A scanned copy should be uploaded through our online editorial system.
Authorship: Credit should be based on substantial contributions to conception and design, data acquisition, or data analysis and interpretation.
Length of the Text: The maximum length for original manuscripts is 3000 words, including title page, tables, and references. Exceptions up to 3500 words may be granted; review articles can be up to 4000 words. Frequently used terms should be abbreviated when appropriate to aid comprehension.
Plagiarism Limit: The manuscript should have less than 19% overall plagiarism, with individual sources under 4%.
Covering Letter: Must be signed by all authors, confirming the manuscript has been read and approved, all requirements are met, and that the work is honest. Include the name, address, phone and cell numbers, e-mail, and fax number of the corresponding author, responsible for communication and final proof approval. Only the corresponding author should communicate with the editor and inform other authors.
