Process
- Initial Editorial Assessment: The journal’s editors first evaluate new submissions for suitability and adherence to the journal’s scope and ethical guidelines. Submissions that don’t meet these criteria may be rejected without further review.
- Expert Review: Submissions that pass the initial check are sent to at least two independent, external reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. These reviewers provide detailed feedback on the manuscript’s methodology, results, and conclusions, as well as its overall clarity and contribution to the field.
- Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers’ comments, the editor-in-chief makes a final decision on the manuscript. Possible outcomes include:
- Accept: The manuscript is ready for publication.
- Minor Revisions: The authors must make small changes to address specific points raised by reviewers.
- Major Revisions: The authors must make substantial changes and resubmit the manuscript for another round of review.
- Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication.
